| Software Upgrades - In June, we upgraded phpBB to the latest version at the time (2.0.8a). This fixed several security bugs. This version will now be installed through the control panel. We also upgraded the following: Guestbook to version 1.45, FormMail to version 3.12c1, phpNuke to version 7.2, Miva Empressa to version 4.14.

Password Recovery Utility - We implemented a password recovery feature to our website. You can now recover lost passwords from our Contact Page. If you need to recover a lost password to your RETAIL account, you may do so by entering your domain name and the last 4 digits of the credit card used to pay for the most recent invoice for that account. The password will then be emailed to you at the email account specified in our current records.

Awstats Upgrade - In June, we upgraded Awstats to the most current version at the time. We also introduced an index page that allows you to view stats from previous months.

b2 Evolution Blog Added - b2 Evolution Blog has been added to our control panel. It's available to resold and retail accounts. For resold accounts, you will need to activate this feature in any packages you have setup currently.

Open Web Mail Discontinued - Open Web Mail has been discontinued as of 9/16/04. It's replaced by IMP Webmail. IMP is much more efficient than OWM. Mail is now stored in one directory instead of having a copy for OWM and a copy for your POP3 client. |

| Setup Fees Scared Away - Since our current system allows for INSTANT setup and activation of each and every shared hosting account, we have decided it's just not fair to request a setup fee on shared accounts any longer. From today forward, you will not pay a setup fee on any retail or resold shared hosting account. How's that for scary?

PHP 5 Now Available - The next generation of PHP is here at BV! As far as we can tell we are one of the very first webhosts to offer PHP 5. To use PHP 5, simply create your PHP files with a .php5 extension. They will then be processed through suPHP just like any other PHP file. I bet you're spooked now, huh?

Static IP Address Provisioning - You can now order a static IP address for any account using your control panel. It will be provisioned instantly. The charge is still $1 per month. This feature is available to retail and resold accounts. To order an IP Upgrade for a retail account, you will find the IP Upgrade link under "Domain Management". To order an IP upgrade for a resold account, you will find the link in the "Reseller Area", then click on "Browse Clients/Accounts" , select a client, select an account, then click on "IP Upgrade" under "Account Management Functions". This feature is also available from the shared account order form. You can now order an account and request a static shared IP on a new retail and resold account at time of initial ordering.

SSL Certificate Installation/ CSR Generation - You can now generate a CSR for the main domain on any account through your control panel. You can also install an SSL certificate once you have received it from wherever you purchase it from. This is available to retail and resold accounts. Resellers must enable this feature in their packages before it will be available to resold accounts. To access this feature go to "Domain Management, then click on "SSL Certificate".

Domain Name Change Order Form - A domain name change can be ordered from the control panel. No longer will support tickets for domain name changes be accepted. You must use this order form. It's still a no charge modification. To access this order form go to "Domain Management" then click on "Domain Name Change". Fill out the form, and the order will be submitted to our staff. Someone from our staff will still have to approve the change before the action takes place. You will then be notified via a ticket response that the change has been completed.

Disk Space Usage Report for Resellers - You can now access disk space usage statistics for all of your resold accounts via your Reseller Area in one list. To access this report login to your retail control panel, click on "Reseller Area" then click on "Disk Space Usage Report". This will print a list of all your accounts and the "Total" disk space currently in use as well as any overages that may exist currently. You will need to access that account's control panel to get a more detailed report of where the disk space is being used.

Bandwidth Usage Report for Resellers - You can now access bandwidth usage statistics for all of your resold accounts via your Reseller Area in one list. To access this report login to your retail control panel, click on "Reseller Area" then click on "Bandwidth Usage Report". This will print a list of all your accounts and the "Total" bandwidth space used to date as well as any overages that may exist currently. You will need to access that account's control panel to get a daily breakdown of bandwidth usage.

phpMyAdmin Upgraded - phpMyAdmin has been upgraded to version 2.6 on all servers.

PHP Upgraded - PHP has been upgraded from 4.3.4 to 4.3.9 on all servers.

MySQL Upgraded - MySQL has been upgraded from 3.23.58 to 4.0.21 on all servers.

suPHP Installed on All Servers - suPHP has been installed on Red, Yellow, and Orange as Purple and Aqua already were running suPHP. You can read more about this addition in the forums here.
